The Crystal Prison
Twenty-Seven Love Poems

by David N. Muxo

In the room A Coward's Lament I am the waiting page
As if to speed my slow decay How quiet this room seems Her tiny hand
Sitting in this lonely rocking chair The Postcard from Berlin I walk along the beach again
Like lovers It is the quiet time Come
And Love? The Telegram How sad
I remember Buried under the wall When I look into your eyes
In my loneliness I Think of You Come sit with me
If I could only be like Bogie How carefully To find a friend
Your smile Sister of the moon Twilight
